Hawkeye students Mary Boevers and Annastasia Fullilove were among those honored Monday night at the 2024 Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society 奖 Banquet. Mary and Annastasia were both selected for the PTK All-Iowa Academic Team.
Mary Boevers is a non-traditional student at 靠谱买球app推荐 who will be completing her degree in 文科 in May of 2024. After completing her degree at Hawkeye, she plans to transfer to the 北爱荷华大学 to major in 会计, 业务分析, 完成她的注册会计师. While attending Hawkeye, PTK has been an integral part of student life and activity for Mary. PTK has helped Mary become engaged in student life on campus, while encouraging others to do so as well. She will also be taking on 学生 Lead for our PTK Blood Drive this Spring! When not attending school, her happiness is in the kitchen. Mary currently lives on an acreage outside of Dunkerton, IA, 和她的丈夫, 十几岁的女儿, 四条狗, 还有一只猫.
Annastasia Fullilove is a 29 year old, non-traditional student. While on her 教育al journey, she has had the honor of being the President of PTK at 靠谱买球app推荐 for the past two years. 安娜的专业是社会工作. 在她完成学业后, she plans to open a full service transitional housing program as her dream is to help others who are dealing with adversity. Anna enjoys being engaged in student activities and spending time with peers. There was a time when Anna never imagined that returning to school would be an option for her. 在克服了许多障碍之后, she learned that she could use each of those experiences to ultimately reach back into the community and help others in similar or worse situations. She has not let her past define who she is, but instead strives to use the wisdom she has gained to benefit others. She strongly believes that her involvement in PTK has been a key element in helping her to develop her voice and build the confidence to pursue and fulfill her dreams.
